A native New Yorker (born at Staten Island University Hospital), Timothy received his BFA in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where he studied acting and musical theatre. While completing his undergraduate acting studies, he took a break from his conservatory training to study at NYU in Paris and Université de Paris VII (Diderot) for four months, where he studied French, communications, journalism and British Literature.

Since moving to Los  Angeles, he has studied acting at Bramon Garcia Braun Studio, Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop and Ivanna Chubbuck Studio. He has also studied long form improv at Upright Citizen's Bridgade Theatre.
